"Was a thoroughly enjoyable ride. How often do you get a flat ride with little to no wind.  Pretty much one  group all ride. Batman set a great pace with a fast ride home. Loved it! Winter at it's best with lush green fields."

Gawler Wheelers Ride Report 27th July 2019

Beautiful winter conditions. There was the threat of early fog, but it was warmer than expected with a bit of cloud to make it interesting. Initially it looked like a low turnout, but by the time David started the safety brief, there were 24 out for a ride. The longer ride was straight north to Freeling and then Kapunda, before turning south to travel through Greenock,…See More

"Nicely written Paul. When we arrived the car park was baron. One by one cars and bikes rolled in. Top day for a ride with the wind holding off until after we returned. Really enjoyed it."

Gawler Wheelers Ride Report 13 July 2019

Contrasting conditions. It was a weird start to the day, the forecast predicted possible showers and the radar looked fairly clear with scattered cloud. For the 15 that turned up, it was a decision made on balance that it wouldn’t rain. Sometimes you just need to roll the dice. The rides on offer took in the Barossa including Cockatoo Valley to Lyndoch. From there the…See More

Gawler Wheelers Ride Report 22nd June 2019

Winter solstice.Winter solstice can bring our some interesting behaviour. Some see it as the time to hibernate and not venture out too much, while others embrace it, and enjoy the occasion. For the Wheelers we had 23 riders out, and although it was no Dark Mofo Winter Solstice nude swim, it did challenge. As everyone rolled in the temperature was around 3 degrees, and…See More

"Was a great morning for riding. A bit cool to start but no rain and only a bit of wind on the SOB (nothing unusual) The short ride would have made it back to HQ quite early so the coffee stop saw us arrive back at the same time as the other 2…"

Welcome Paul, make sure you join the Gawler Wheelers group. You are member 1858, which is significant because AC has just overtaken (in member numbers) our Victorian counterpart, Melbourne Cyclist.
