The aim of this group is to build upon previously published information on cycling blackspots, to try and get as many Adelaide cyclists as possible to have an input on what the worst blackspots for them is and suggest how to fix it.
Thanks for the message.
Sorry, my message was directed to the wrong person. There was a guy that placed a post a while back who was considering buying/ taking over the business and my message was suppose to go to him. From memory he was looking at running the store with his wife and I was interested to know if he was going ahead with it or not. If he was I was interested in having a talk to him about his plans for the store.
I'll attemp to track him down!
Sorry to bother you and good luck in the future.
Wondering how you are progressing with Life cycle. I'd be keen to have a chat with you about it if you have time as I've had similar ideas over the years.
My background is in sales and I've been building and repairing bikes for years. The bike retail industry is pretty cut throat as you no doubt know but I think many shops lack flexibility of thinking, particularly in regard to the topic of competing with Internet sales & pricing. My contact number is 0419848303 if you would like to have a chat.
Read your concerns about cycling in North Adelaide - Gilberton area. One area will come under control of ACC and the other is probably DPTI.
I did not fully understand the MacKinnon Pde & Bundeys Rd as I have not checked the area. Can you think of any road changes to approach ACC in the hope of improvements?
Doubt that DPTI will improve that busy area for cyclists. I do not like cycling north along Mann Road, when just past Melbourne St I need to change lanes to the left to veer west into Robe Tce. I am intimidated by the cars streaming out of the blind corner of Melbourne St, then moving right to go north into Northcote Tce.
All I can say at this point is good luck ;-) Was at Clarks Cycles today lusting over the Gazelle bikes that Kevin is now stocking- including the Cabby http://www.flickr.com/photos/eternitycycling/4013861294/ which is rather nice!
