Hey Lee-Anne, great to catch up the other night. Really enjoyed a beer watching the TDF and felt only slightly guilty while they were struggling on those hills :)

I have managed to dig out the following link; it is not really a definitive list but is the article I was talking about Saturday night:

Have a great week!

Profile Information

What bikes do you ride?
My commuting and teaching bike is a Granit Mtb( "swissy" as i bought her in Switzerland), with slicks for a smoother ride. Done about 12000km on it

In july 10' purchased my 1st road bike, a blue Orbea Ultegra, O.B, a friend's one after he upgraded his. its definatly a *boy* bike!

And now i have my 3rd bike a Felt TK2 track bike 48/15-14. I started track cycling just as a rare friday night thing, but have been bitten bad by the bug and now love it. Having the womens only training on Saturday at the Superdrome is such a great way to learn skills and practise them.
When do you ride?
Weekends, Commute, Racing
..perhaps some more information about yourself for your profile page
Really enjoy riding my bikes

Learning to Take a Chance

Posted on June 18, 2012 at 23:36 2 Comments

There’s a reason past eras referred to many tasks as ‘trying’, as its through trying that we learn how to succeed

Over the past five years I’ve worked with many people who want to learn how to ride a bike and/or improve their current cycling skills. Since March this year Ride-a-Bike Right has been delivering a four-week program in school to children from Reception-yr 4.

As someone who has been riding since I was four years old I always want to see young…

I often wonder what impact a bike has on a person's life - as many of you would atest to, in a physical sence it has great rewards but also in the social, intellectual and community sence too.

The changes that bikes have brought to my life over the past few weeks, and indeed months, have been great and I'd like to share some with you:

Business - Today the website for my business became live - god bless…

Another new-rider :)

What a day!

The world gained another cyclist today - 7yo Charlie; having not riden (even with tw's) in a few years he got a new bike yesterday and his parents also decided to get him lessons so he could learn to ride and how to be safe while doing so. From early on I could see that he understood the balance that was needed so we added the pedals and within SECONDS he was pedalling away! To see the joy on his face of when he discovered how by just moving his…

3.9kms is a long way.

I'm sure you will agree, today was a beautiful day to go cycling. It was also the perfect day to introduce bike riding to people who haven’t seen it as an activity they do, or have put any effort towards.

Today I ran the first of two Intermediate Cycling Skills sessions at Elizabeth TAFE, with 2 adults and one child coming along for the afternoon. Both adults claimed that riding a bike was something that they’d not had done in 20 plus years, but saw the AustCycle course as an…
