Luke, do you think there has been an increase in Commuters members? I have been sending the following message . . .

Hi ____,

Welcome to Adelaide Cyclists. You might be interested in the AC group Commuters and, if you cycle in the city, Adelaide BUG which I coordinate.

Cheers, Heather

Getting rid of our ridiculous and discriminatory helmet laws which attack users of green sustainable transport should be a first priority for any body interested in reducing carbon emissions.

Skipping the ride because it's cold and wet, I'm ashamed of you Michael ... though it's strange how few entries there are in MY riding log and how unfit I felt yesterday. Bloody silly this winter caper, can't wait for Feb when we'll be complaining about the heat.

Lee-Anne, the number you quote may be usable. On the front cover of BISA's Pedal Update is the phone number 1800 018 313. You can also email

I have used both to report many hazards from 2009 to current.

Ive just been doing some reserach on cycling facilities in Adl and while reading the 'Safety in Number - a Cycling Strategy for SA 2006-2010' i noticed one avenue they are looking at is :

;promore the free call # 1800018216 arterial road hazard reporting service for cyclists enabling them to report hazards such as potholes, dropped loads, crash debris and broken glass'

Full Document here

Thought i'd pass on the info if you are interested
