Mark, well done for taking the step to nominate for council.
Local govt is responsible for approx 3/4 of SA roads, so more cyclist-aware councillors might improve cycling conditions.

You are already a member of the AC group Vote For Cyclists.
Would you like to be the first candidate of 2018 to post there?

Yes I am a member. I have just added the following to that page:

I am running for election as a Councillor for the Campbelltown City Council in the Hectorville Ward. Although there are many other issues I will be pushing for more and improved bicycle infrastructure in the Campbelltown area.

Excellent! I have friends in that area I will speak to them about you.

Mark,

If you are running on a bike-related ticket at all, how about posting your candidature and statement at the f/b page for the Campbelltown BUG...

Sam

Come and meet with me over a coffee, please talk to of any concerns about the area. I invite anyone to come to the Red Mill Bakery Thursday 20 September from 11am to 12 for a coffee and a chat.

Please let me know if you have any ideas for cycling in Campbelltown?

Upgrade the 4th Creek trail to shared path status?

I will have a look at it!

St Bernards Rd is not very cyclist friendly.

I agree!
