As you would remember a few weeks ago there was a competition for you to nominate your choice of cycling's most iconic photo that would potentially be integrated into the interior design of Pave, Adelaide's newest and only bike shop and cafe located at Trak Cycles, The Parade, Norwood. It opens tomorrow (Thurs 6 Dec) morning warming up to an official opening from the 12th.
The winner of one year's free coffee with one of only 12 special black VIP cards is Kyle Clement for his nomination of Adelaide's Stuart O'Grady crossing the line to win the Paris-Roubaix in 2007. I think you'll agree it is a classic photo worthy of a cafe wall. Kyle wasn't the only person to choose Stewy but he was the first.
Well done Kyle, we'll be in touch by email with details of your prize.
Pave is next to Trak Cycles on the Parade Norwood. It will be a great place to drop in after a ride for a coffee or meet there and start off with an espresso made from Rio quality coffee. Also available wiill be snacks, muffins and it'll also aim to cater for non cycling friends and family.
Maybe we need to start (and end) a ride from Pave.
Nice shot of SOG
Don't like his pink shorts, looks a bit of a tourist to me ;P
Cafe looks good, plenty of space for cycle folk
I don't think that is Stuie...I think you will find it is actually Don Dunstan. :)
Shorts aren't short enough or tight enough - could be Alan Jones on holiday though ;P
It's actually Cipo in disguise dropping off one of his bikes (on wall).
Congrats to Pave for pulling this one off - looks excellent ! Norwood is a great location for a cycling cafe - looking forward to dropping in and sampling the wares.
Looks like they are attracting some very nice bikes. Might have to have a coffee and enjoy the bike porn hanging up on the wall.
