It is Monument #2 this weekend.
The Tour of Flanders - Ronde van Vlaanderen. This is a true classic first raced in 1913. Who is going to win?
Can anybody beat Fabian Cancellara?
Maybe "Tornado Tom" Boonen can - if he can get his team sorted?
Maybe Sagan can after his great win in Gent Wevelgem.
Maybe Kwiatowski after his recent win in E3.
Maybe GT - he is certainly riding well.
What about one of the sprinters - Alex Kristoff is the reigning champ - can they do it?
If either Fabian or Tom win - they will be the first to be a four time winner!
I'll stick up my hand for Fabian though...
Have to admit, a bit bombed-out by the deaths of two riders last weekend.
In my opinion, pro-cycling needs to be a winner.
If they do end up racing, anyone Belgian!
I haven't looked at the team rosters yet, but I'd say if Dan Martin is riding for Etix he'd be hard to beat (unless he falls off again).
Given that I made my selections for GW the day before, and then Kristoff pulled out with a runny nose on the day (and I could have replaced him with basically anyone in my Fantasy team because he was the max 20 points), I will not make any predictions or pick my team until they almost clip in!
BTW FWIW IMHO - MK, PS, FB, GVA, SVM, AK, ZS & NT will all be in the mix.
There are also a few young guys who might be hanging around at the end like Tiesj Benoot and Jasper Stuyven to pick up the crumbs.
