Put your muscles behind muscular dystrophy... register for the Big Red Ride!
Big Red Ride Earlybird Registrations are now open!!! Earlybirds save $$$ and receive a free 2013 jersey (while stocks last)! Earlybird closes November 30th 2013.
The community at Adelaide Cyclists really got behind this event in 2012 & 2013, and we were hugely greatful for this support, as were our clients who benefited from the funds raised!
On Saturday the 18th January 2014, Big Red Ride participants will once again ride the picturesque seaside route from Glenelg to Outer Harbour and back to raise valuable funds for Muscular Dystrophy SA.
Participants will ride alongside Aussie legend Bradley McGee.
The Big Red Ride will be a great way to kick start the cycling season, taking place the day before the start of the Tour Down Under. Muscular Dystrophy SA will create a fun, family friendly atmosphere on the day with a number of food stalls, great coffee from major sponsor Cibo and live entertainment.
For the first time in 2014, we will also be introducing a fun run to the event! Departing from Wigley Reserve, participants will be able to choose to run or walk either 5km or 10km. If you know any runners, please encourage them to come along. Earlybird registrations for the run will open soon!
Please note: Runners and walkers will follow a different course to riders, and start times will be staggered for the different events to ensure safety and an enjoyable event for all participants.
Together we can continue to make a difference to the lives of children and adults living with neuromuscular conditions. Let’s help them live the full and active life they deserve.

Hi - I can't seem to find the distance for this ride? Am I missing it on the website? :-)
The ride is approximately 48km. Course maps can be found at the above link Patrick has posted. Thanks for your interest :)
It is a 50 k ride
The noarlunga line should be open by then fingers crossed
Adelaide Metro is currently advertising that Noarlunga line will reopen late 2013. We've asked them to keep us in the loop but hopefully the trains should be up and running for this year's BRR! It should be another great event - hope to see you there Lisa!
I will do it!
Fantastic Mark! Always nice to see people returning to ride again :)
