Green bike lanes being installed in Adelaide

Green bikes lanes are being placed at busy intersections in Adelaide to improve cyclist safety. The project manager explains how they work and what they are made up of.

Lets hope they don't sweep all the road crap onto the the new Green lanes like they do on the now into our existing bike lanes. 

I can just imagine the abuse we will get from drivers, when we ride outside of the green lanes to avoid all the crap build up in our pretty new lanes...

And the Green Bike lanes also vaporise at intersections - even less continuity than the old bike lanes (Watch video carefully - 2 places)

They left out "Would all cyclists kindly teleport through the intersection so as not to be a problem to motorised vehicles, as we find it too hard to put the bike lanes where they are really needed, and just stick them where its easy"

Saw them painting the bike lanes green on Greenhill Road today.

I hope they do Diagonal Rd just before Sturt Rd. The cars love to bank up and park over the bike lane.
