Thanks for the warm welcome! I've recently moved back to Adelaide after 13 years in Perth, but unfortunately don't live very close to Gawler, although I'm impressed at how organised your group is, it looks great...
I'm actually starting a GPS cycle tracking website, which is about to launch. I'm looking for people to help test the website and the Android app if you know anyone that may be willing to be involved, and I'd really appreciate it if you would support us by adding your routes (I can help make that easier if you are adding a lot), group details and letting your members know that we're around and local. We'll be small to start with (obviously) and are not exactly competitive with Strava or Map My Ride yet, but being small and local we can be responsive to the needs of locals. We're initially going for more of a social site than a competitive one, but will add ride comparisons, etc later as demand requires. There is a beta version available to look at now, but you can have a peek of the new look site at www.cyclemycity.com/j32 if you are interested. We hope to roll out the new look site in a week or so, as soon as our Android app is ready to go, so if you are willing to support us I can help get things set up before you let anyone know, and let you know of the launch date.
Hi to all Gawler Wheelers from me .Thank you for inviting me to ride with you . I live in southern suburbs so mostly I ride locally , but I also gladly come to Gawler with my "Wheeler" bike to join you for a ride .
Hi Wilson Devo not sure if you have been informed nor have I checked our media page but fantastic GW photo in this weeks leader of about 8 proud members. After my last attempt to scan will leave it to you.
Hi Wilson, thanks for the invite and making me feel part of the society, I am up in the hills Meadows bit far to go to Gawler. I not ridden for like 10 years as all way are up from here and I got slack. Hoping when the weather gets better venture down the Adelaide Flats and start get some Km's in. Cheers
Hi Wilson. I would like to come out on some rides with you guys. I am doing the Ride to Conquer Cancer and haven't ridden as a group before. My riding experience is very limited although I have done the Amy Gillett a number of times, but that was with a friend and on an old mountain bike. I am 51 years old and consider myself reasonably fit but I know I am not that fast on a bike yet. I have purchased a Orbea Road bike with carbon frame and am told it is quite a nice bike. With some training I should be able to keep up with the rides. I would also like to purchase a Gawler Wheeler Jersey how do I go about that? Cheers Andrea
Thanks for the invitation Wilson. Unfortunately, I haven't got a bike yet and live too far from Gawler to participate. Very impressive website you folk have created. My, how things have improved since I was last cycling! Cheers, Philip
Thanks for the invite but due to the new age restrictions I am now no longer able to ride with your group. I was looking forward to improving by riding with you but now I will have to ride with another, more inviting group to. Achieve the results I desire
Thanks for your message. It looks like you are running a great club out there at Gawler. I will try and get out for a ride with you guys one day soon.
