To join the Gawler Wheelers Group, just click the '✚ Join Gawler Wheelers' button.
This special '✚ Join Gawler Wheelers' button (an inactive copy is shown below) appears in the upper right hand corner of the ➨ Gawler Wheelers Group Page.
You want to improve your distance cycling. Suggest you go to the Hub page, look in the left column halfway down for events, even click on 'view all'. Select what sounds interesting, then post questions on the event page, like distance, speed, starting place and getting to the start. Also contact the AC group Gawler Wheelers -- very popular, ride about 60km, but the start and finish is in the north.
A way to meet AC members would be next Saturday when there is a picnic in the park with cargo bike display. Will include all styles of cargo bikes and test rides. I will be there, not because I am in the market for another bike, but because it sounds interesting. More info under AC events.
Hope you are enjoying your move to Australia and Adelaide. Welcome to Adelaide Cyclists, a great place to make more friends who enjoy cycling like you.
You might be interested in joining AC group Commuters and, if you cycle in the city, Adelaide BUG.
I coordinate four AC groups with emphasis on improving cycling conditions: Adelaide BUG, Prospect BUG, Look For Cyclists and Vote For Cyclists. There is more info in the introduction on each group web page.
