I see that you are the organiser of the GW group rides. I'm trying to start up a group ride around the golden grove/tea tree gully areas. I'm a complete group ride novice, and was wondering if you would mind if I used (with full credit given of course) your 'group ride guidelines' documentation and recommendations when setting up and listing our 'event' on AC? Your guidelines and recommendations are very comprehensive and sensible and I understand that they would have taken quite some time and effort to compile, and will therefore understand if you're reluctant to let someone else use them.
Well, Frank I supose this seals the deal, a far better reason to get on the bike every Saturday, a good bunch to spin along the road with. William really enjoyed the ride. Thanks to the instigators of GW.
Clive, Juz and Kevin White have told me of the great fun you all have and I'm planning to come out for a ride with you guys someday. And I really like your reports.
I've started a group called Spartans with the entry requirement of riding My Lofty. I've organised a ride to Lofty on November 13th. Ian Crawford suggested that call be sent out to GW to see if anyone is interested.
I was wondering what the best way of doing this and if you would mind me doing it. I don't want to hijack your group or ride.
It will not be a brutal ride at all. Every one will be encouraged along the way and there will stops and regroup points along the way.
Thanks for the kind welcome. I'm looking forward to the ride this weekend. It'll be my first group ride. I've been riding solo for the last year and a half, will be nice to wheel suck for once...lol. Hopefully the weather clears up cos Id hate to spend all GF day cleaning my bike :-)
