Hi guys.. I have been pretty pissed off at a certain cricket player's attack on a cyclist in Melbourne.. I mean, I have let loose on Foxsport website and Facebook ..But then I started to think about the number of times I have seen cyclists doing stupid things (and it is the minority).

Lets face it, we choose a clean healthy form of transport and are by definition intelligent and courteous people.

But how many have actually sought out the road rules for cyclists.. Well if you haven't , I have done it for you and here is the web site you can download the Pdf.. If you haven't read it please do.

We are fortunate enough to have a world class cycling event in Adelaide and this brings out a lot of people who rarely ride their bikes let alone know the rules. As avid cyclists we need to set an example and be like Caesers wife.

Well here is the website. Take from it what you will but if we stick by it, where will be no excuse to get Warnebombed.

Cheers and safe riding

I saw some things today that embarrassed me... how more people weren't hurt I do not know!

I drove the BUPA route today, and then Tanunda - Menglers - Tanunda whilst the BUPA ride was in full swing. I was happy to give cyclistsd room, respect their rights to be on the road and I was in no hurry as I was just out and about watching the race and taking photos. I've I'd been a non cyclist trying to go about my daily business I may very well have felt like mowing down dozens of ignoramuses riding 6 abreast, on the wrong side of the road with double white lines, not indicating, head checking or any of the other thing that good cyclist do as a matter of course. Lots of ammo for Warney and his cronies on display today.

I saw a news break on channel 7 during the tennis showing video footage of cyclists cutting off cars during today's ride, pretty much the same sort of thing I saw out there today.  Wait for that one to blow up!

I found some of the hill climbs I really had no choice but to cross the double lines - didn't want or intend to, but I don't fancy coming to a complete stop on a climb.

There are the Maverick set out there, same as drivers, who don't pay attention or know the road rules . If you try to tell them they tell you off. They have to realise that they are making it hard on themselves and the rest of us by their arrogance.  The best thing we can do is try to educate them and set example of how to ride properly and withing the law.
