good stuff Steve. Dont look at it as a failure, just an opportunity for next time. The veloway stretch from Seacombe road up to Majors road is deceiving! my goal for that climb is sub 10mins. last weekend i managed to do it in 10mins 13secs which really annoyed me but i know the sections i need to improve on.

Its taking me 15m08s from Seacombe Rd to Major's Rd at my best. I have some way to go yet ;-)  I see Rob D does a similar time to you :-) Are you on Strava ?

Oh, and I don't feel like a failure, all comes to one who persists, early days yet ;-) I was simply being dramatic for the blog. I am a persistant person thats how come I had run 1,900km this year up until the end of June! I just keep working at it ;-) Now with a recovering knee injury I will keep working at getting my bike legs up to speed.

Oh, and I am using a Globalsat GPS watch with HRM costing me less than $170 at the time. I use a watch because its good for running and so I already had that. The down side is that it does not support a cadance sensor :-( Thats life.
