After some advice about bike rollers. I'm a bit of a fair weather cyclist so I'm not getting out on the bike much lately. I am thinking of getting a bike roller so I can keep active during the winter. I have heard that they also help to improve your handling which would be a bonus. Anyone got one? What's the pros and cons in relation to a standard stationary trainer? They're not cheap so I'm just trying to weigh up the benefits. Any info would be appreciated.

Johnny - I started a Stationary Trainering group to try and gather all the AC info together, and there is one page devoted to previous discussions about rollers and trainers, and rollers vs trainers. I have also posted a few training programs.

There's a good article about learning to use rollers by Rochelle Gilmore in the current issue of Cycling Australia Magazine ...
