Today I followed up on my BikeSA maintenance course and tackled changing a tube... chose the back wheel because it's trickier (I figure Mr Murphy will ensure my first flat is on the back if I don't know what to do!). Chris supervised and provided the extra instruction required. I managed to get the tire off and back on without tyre levers, pretty happy with that. Even got the tyre back up to a reasonable pressure using the hand pump.
Then off for a 15km loop to warm up, felt a bit more confident on the road today (not too much traffic either which helped). Was very pleased with myself for managing to have a drink from my bottle while on the move... woo hoo!
Have raised my seat yet another inch, see how that goes tomorrow.
Have also used Cycle Instead to find a safe route from Parafield Gardens to Blakeview... I'm going to ride to visit my son instead of driving, starting Monday. It's about 19km each way.
Looking forward to the Easter Sunday coast ride :o)

Don't even whisper about the puncture fairy or her/his best friend murphy........the longer they both stay away the better!
