I seem to have spent less time on here of late, although that certainly hasn't corresponded with less time on the bike! I just thought I'd share a few milestones that I've reached in the last month or so, as I start getting excited for the Dirty Dozen.

1: July 23, 2500 km Since I got Strava. I got Strava in mid Feb, so I've done maybe 3000km this year. This is not including commuting, because I'm too lazy to record the 5k's each way every day.  Currently I'm at 2,838km

2: August 1, Nortons in under 16 minutes. I'd set this as a target to do before the DD, so I'm super happy to have done it a month out. I got 15:42. New target: 15:00 before the end of November.

3: August 12, 50,000m climbing since I got Strava. In fact I've got to 50,774m so far.

I've done all of this in just over 112 hours.

At the moment I'm riding roughly three to four times a week, with Hills rides every Sunday and Tuesday morning (50-60k's, 1200-1700m climbing, a group ride on Saturdays (flat as a beach), and often a quick spin up a steep hill on a Thursday or Friday afternoon (35k's, 1000m climbing).

If anyone wants to join me on Tuesdays or Sundays, you're more than welcome, regardless of skill level (as long as you can make it up the hills, we regroup at the top. Tuesdays are at 8am, Sundays a bit later - usually 9 or 10. The Joys of Uni life.

How are you all traveling? Gearing up for the DD? Staying out of the cold? Dodging the magpie attacks as you struggle up hairpins? (It turns out that when you can't go very fast, they can swoop you more times! Now that's what I call motivation)

Good work, you will be turning into a mountain goat next ;-) All I can say is keep doing what you like doing best, it seems to be working for you! Well done!

it is a solid effort with good results.

if I rode with you you would have time to read the paper in the park by the Tom Playford statue.
