324 Days Since I Started Riding a Bicycle and 10,000 km's later

I had no idea those 324 days ago, when I rode a bike for the first time since I was 14 years old, at the age of 52, that I would do so much. It was meant to be an interim measure to keep fit until I could return to running. I tried to return to running in January and only managed to verify that I would no longer run for exercise when my other knee collapsed after only 6 weeks of training.

What Has Riding Done For Me

I have managed to keep fit, I have reduced pain in all my previous injuries and have built a social side to my life with many other cyclists. I have seen others take up cycling including my son, his fiancee and last but not least my own wife Lynn. I have seen the enjoyment these people have gained from the fun of cycling and unfortunately some pain.
