Non biased good quality professional bike fit

Can anyone out there in the Adelaide cyclist world inform me of anyone or anyteam in Adelaide which provides a very accurate professional bike fit without the biased opinions about your choice of bike etc, at a reasonable price?  I mean I don't want someone telling me that the bikes they sell in their shop are the ones that would suit my body dimensions better than the one I already have, even though the one I have was designed for my body shape, dimensions and riding style etc.  I am fed up with bull shit advice from bike shops from people who seem to think they know everything about bikes when in fact all they are trying to do is sell their product.

I had a bike fit (make that more than one bike fit - I have more than one bike) with Amir at Core Health on the Parade. Whilst he is not particularly cheap, he picked up on some issues that certainly have made me feel more comfortable on the bike. So, not attached to a bike shop - he is a physio and has pilates classes.

Given that you ride an Avanti you might consider calling Gavin at the Avanti shop on Main North Road, I think it's between Brahma Lodge and Parafield.

I had a bike fit done at Megabike...

Excellent service, no pushy staff, and relatively cheap @ mid 100's price..

I think it is Claude the owner who doe the fits.,..it was a while ago

A mate recommends Bike Station on Brighton rd, but i have no experience with them...

I highly recommend the BG Fit from Specialized (JT cycles) but it is around $300. I had it for my Cannondale Slice TT bike so doesn't have to be specialized. Great bike fit.
Google it.

Why pay money to people when you can do it yourself (to an extent)?

When I started cycling back in the late 80s I used the Bernard Hinault/Greg Lemond fitting technique which is the same as these guys - http://www.strawberrybicycle.com/sizing.htm. I haven't really changed my position at all since then, and when I got a quasi-fit for my last bike, it came in about the same.

It is a starting point only. At least you will understand the rationale behind the measurements and fit, so if do you go to a professional you know you won't be far off if they try anything radical.

BMCR on Waymouth. Excellent service, never pushy and great follow up. I got my bike fitted there and Pete did a very thorough job, examining both me and the bike. The only problem is trying to get in to see them - they're always booked solid! Probably a good indication of how excellent they are :)

I can highly recommend Steve Nash at Corsa Cycle Centre in Adelaide.  He's been bike-fitting for years, spends 2 hours with each client.  Around $200.

BMCR or Steve Nash at Corsa, have used both and similar results.

There are many websites that help with fits also and since no-one has ever benn you before, you can read up and make custom changes.

I did my own and had Pete at BMCR check it and made two very minor tweaks.

Good luck
