The Monday after the Friday before...

After getting the little ones off to school this morning, I had to shoot home before heading out again for Yoga (my usual Monday morning class). I decided that I would just take a little detour from Mitchell Park up and over Fiveash Drive/Ayliffs Rd/Goodwood Rd rather than my usual route straight up Daws Rd to Goodwood Rd.

Col de Lofty...

One single speed road bike, gearing 46/16 - check

One cyclist clad in totally inappropriate kit - check

One trip to school to drop off the kids and their bikes - check

One fairly sunny morning and big black clouds over the hills - check

Now, where to ride today? Outer Harbour? Mclaren Vale? Brighton? Nah... how about we give Mt Lofty a go!

Riding with the troopers...

What a crap week with the weather! I have only ridden with the girls (or at all when it comes to it) once this week, and that ended with us riding with the hand on the forehead (a la Carla) into a head wind. Not a nice way to end the school day for a 5, 7 or 8 year old.

Troopers they are, tho! They just get on with it. They sing a little and they laugh a little and we make it home.

... And, we're back!

Greetings all!

This has been the longest time I haven't cycled since I started cycling in January... 6 days. Why? Cars and rain. No, I haven't gone out and bought a car. I have borrowed (or rather been lent) two cars at different times in the last week or so... and it has rained... a lot.
