Update on Campbelltown Councillors' bike rego vote

At last week's Campbelltown Council meeting, a motion that read: the Local Govt Assoc lobby the state government to introduce legislation that requires all bicycle riders 16 years of age or older to have a suitable identification attached to their bikes was successful six votes to four. Campbelltown SA councillors vote for cyclists to be registered

Campbelltown SA Council meeting on March 1 passed a motion that called for the registration of cyclists. The vote was six to three.

The motion read: the LGA lobby the state government to introduce legislation that requires all bicycle riders 16 years of age or older to have a suitable identification attached to their bikes.

Volunteers needed for Super Tuesday bike counting

Adelaide City Council are still seeking volunteers to assist with their 'Super Tuesday' bike counts at a number of locations on Tuesday 15 March 2016. This is not the national Super Tuesday day as that day (1 March) sees Adelaide full of road restrictions due to Clipsal. By counting bikes two weeks later we will be able to gain a much more normal picture of cycling in the city.
