When night turns to day.. a busy nightspot, common for alcohol fuelled revelry and violence has been forced to close and in its vacant state taken over the the Sydney City Council and is to be turned into a cycling hub.
The area is to have lock-ups, showering facilities, bike hire, it will over cycling tours and have a bike shop and repair service.
It sounds a bit like what Adelaide City Council and BicycleSA have been polling…

The first stage of the Amy Gillett Bikeway was opened opened on 23/1/10 - the initial stage is from Oakbank - Woodside, but will eventually run to Mt Pleasant
There doesn't seem to be much detail available yet, but I wonder if anyone has yet ridden it.

Happy new cycling year to you all! January again has seen Adelaide host the Australian Cycling Conference. BISA was one of the conference sponsors, and two of our members attended both days. Perhaps something like this is Adelaide might work well to show that many cyclists actually drive cars and pay rego like all road users. This is always the argument raised when mainstream media does a cycling safety…

Kolelinia is a concept for riding our own bikes on a steel wire, a new type of bicycle-lanes…
I does seem a little complicated but I guess if infrastructure like new tram lines are being laid (hint hint) it could easily be incorporated. Crazy but cool.…
