In October I walked 178km in 8 days (part of the Camino de Santiago that crosses across northern Spain, the part we walked was mainly through Galicia). Part of the walk included a 8km climb up to 1000m at 7.5%. We walked every day from around 7am to 5pm, with stops it was 6 hours of walking. Even though it was October and should have been autumn the weather was really hot and we didn't see a cloud for 6 of the days let alone any rain.
