Right now on ABC TV show The New Inventors.
A two-wheeler recumbent; cyclist as high as on average bicycle for better vision of traffic; recumbent position for aerodynamics; but front wheel drive with shorter chain so more efficient than recumbent; a telescopic 'head stem'.
Faster than other bikes. Holds the world record for women's 100-mile speed.
Called the Cruzbike. Inventor John Tolhurst. Price about $4,500. Won tonight's episode on The New Inventors.

How to buy or make a ruling device to show depth of potholes or utility cover-lids, while photographing? Can manage if one person holding a rule, and the other person focusing a camera to take a close-up showing the measurement. But cannot do on my own with current tools.
I carry a tape measure and flat edge (clipboard) to measure some cycling hazards I see while cycling. But there are times when one wants to photograph to persuade the authority to fix, or proof if the hazard is a…

A friend a I are cycling to Melbourne starting 22 June over 8 days via the great ocean road for the heart foundation and cancer council. We commute to Elizabeth occasionally but try to meet up for a 60-100km session over the weekends. Should really be joining a club as its so much better in a group if you can recommend any? Would appreciate any tips if you know anyone who has done a charity event? Thanks

I don't tend to ride to the city as I've never ridden in a pack and am a bit intimidated by the city on my own.
I ride around it a lot though, I live in parkholme so I'm usually riding around good wood, plympton, richmond & along the Torrens etc. I go along the beach too. I guess I don't really have too many trails. I've noticed with a lot of the cycling groups on the forum, that they meet at far away places like bird wood, hallet cove or gawler. There's no way I would head out there on my own just to start the ride!
Can you point me in the direction of any cycling groups that meet in a central place and aren't too full on? I consider myself a beginner

I don't ride much at all - after having broken my ankle 18 months ago. Want to get slowly back into it, but its still not working very well. I am the wife of a weekend cyclist though :-)
