William Whittaker replied to heather's discussion injured AC cyclists
"No, the orthopaedic surgeon didn't think it was necessary and I have a strong aversion to general anaesthetics (had a few surgeries and a general really hits me hard), so I just went with that."

William Whittaker replied to heather's discussion injured AC cyclists
"I went through this last year - I tried using a trainer a couple of times, but it hurt too much. In the end, I was off the bike (on advice of the orthopedic surgeon) for 12 weeks. Unfortunately, if you smash your collarbone there isn't a lot…"

William Whittaker replied to Brooke Whatnall's discussion RunKeeper Users?

William Whittaker replied to Pip's discussion Water from my hydration backpack tastes awful!
"I would have suggested Milton's to disinfect it, as I use that on my bidons every so often and never have it taste odd afterwards - that isn't your experience with a hydration bladder, Rob?"

William Whittaker replied to Tom Mileham's discussion Insurance
"Well, when I made a claim with Velosure, they told me to drop the bike in at BMCR for it to be appraised/repaired and then told me what was going to be replaced once I paid the excess. The claim process was easy and hassle free - fill in a form,…"

William Whittaker replied to Pip's discussion Water from my hydration backpack tastes awful!
"Have you tried leaving a bicarb and water mix to soak in it for a while? I have found that has usually taken the edge of the plastic taste out of things - never tried it with a hydration pack bladder, though."

"Owning a pair of Jawbones, I feel compelled to disagree with how you think they look :P   Of course, that being said, the only place to wear them is riding - never wear them otherwise ;)"
