"No issues with the 500 at all, it's a great little unit, the only thing i found when using the GPS only for speed is that it tends to jump around a fair bit and the GPS can get a bit lost under tree cover like Waterfall Gully or lower Montacute…"
"I think there's very little difference to be honest, assuming you wait for the Garmin to locate all the satellites it needs.
GPS can be inaccurate under certain conditions, and flat out doesn't work in others, but for 95% of your riding…"
"speed or cadence sensors are not needed on todays bikes. All one needs is power meter (cadence is built into them now) and a garmin. Everything else is outdated technology. Helpful perhaps but totally outdated."
"OK. I need to get stuck into it. I have a spare unit on my stationary trainering bike. I'll probably swap them over.
I changed the battery as you'd expect and I realised I'd not changed it in nearly four years (since new)."
Hi Troy, could you not post photos from Marathon stamped on them. Basically you don't have the copyright to repost them (even though they are of you). I have to ask members every season to refrain from doing it or I get emIls from them telling me to take them down.
So could you please delete them. If you did buy them please post them if you can scan or have un-watermarked versions.
Ultimately the watermark is distracting and not a good look.
Cheers and I hope you understand. Copyright is a complicated issue and one I do take seriously.
