- What bikes do you ride?
- In February I rode 21 bikes in 21 days for my regular commute to work for the month. This meant digging out some of the ancient relics that haven't seen the light of day for quite a few years. Had to give them a clean and lube and pump up the tyres. Only had one blow out. My 74 Raleigh's original rear tyre blew out on the ride home.

Time now to plan for that Winter Getaway

I know summer hasn't even started and already I've booked my winter escape for next year. Those long cold Adelaide winters really get me down. For the past few years I've booked a winter getaway in Darwin, just for a week and the break lines up with the Skycity Triple Crown.
Darwin in June is just fantastic, warm sunny days around 30 to 32 degrees, usually with a light breeze. Lovely bike paths that run past the water front and wharf precinct . The Mindil Beach markets run on a…

I cannot guess what she is prepared to pay (her original bike cost her $40 S/H) because one might wonder at aged 80 how many more years one will cycle (or live). Which suburb do you live in (distance to travel to look at the bikes)?

Hi Trevor, do the 2 bicycles have back pedal brakes? The woman put her bike out for kerbside recycling when having trouble changing the tube and tyre. She is reluctant to try anything new at her age but perhaps she could be talked into using brake levers. Cheers, Heather
