Has anyone else had trouble redeeming Jaggad vouchers for items on its website? The site seems very user unfriendly. This is the $60 voucher you get when you join/rejoin Bike SA.

Tony Pilkington's column in the Sunday Mail

Posted on November 15, 2010 at 18:30 4 Comments

On page 2 of the Sunday Mail (14 Nov) Tony Pilkington was complaining about cyclists going up and down Greenhill Rd to Mt Lofty - and how some poor unfortunate motorist might one day hit one or more of them.

The tone of the piece was disparaging and prejudiced. He sniggered about all these "would-be Lance Armstrongs". He gave the distinct impression cyclists were usurpers on the roads, getting in the way of four-wheel-drives powering into the Hills.

Could anyone give me and the bike a lift from Wayville through to Flinders Uni on Nov 7 for the start of Amy's Ride?

I'm right to get back from McLaren Vale.

HI TOny,
I usually take Leah/East/Winston Rds down to DawsRd then turn left onto South and cross over to main sth rd with the traffic lights and off to Flinders.
It shouldnt take more than 20mins (cycleInstead said 27mins - 9kms) , and i was thinking of getting there for 8ish (im doing the 60km btw)
What do you think?

Hi Tony

I have been made aware of the fella's name but have been asked not to pass it on at this stage.

My number: 0404 198 493

I am very very wary about this ride or anything associated with it turning into a protest. There is a time and place for us to collectively make noise about cycling safety, and Saturday morning isnt the place. Emotions will be raw (I know mine are!) and things said or done that people might regret later.

Anyway I am happy to speak to the Independent Weekly
