Prepare to Ride - City of Prospect

""Everything?" Most importantly wear a silly hat, dress like a geek, then ride on the footpath and have a go at cyclists who disobey the road rules. Thats how you get people on bikes."

What bikes do you ride?
Mountain bike and scooter
When do you ride?
Weekends, Commute, Other
..perhaps some more information about yourself for your profile page
I am the Director of Economic Development at the City of Prospect and a huge supporter of riding for recreation and commuting for inner city residents. However Ia m nota fan of bike lanes on any roads, and am fully aware of the large biody of research overseas demonstrating how dangerous Bike Lanes are. I am also a big supporter of bike corridors that seperate cyclsits from roads all together, such as the brilliant Torrens River Linear Park.

Active Transport. They are: the Australian Local Government Association, the Bus Industry Confederation, the Cycling Promotion Fund, the Heart Foundation of Australia and the International Association of Public Transport. Steve, those images were a bit much for my d/l limits ! Why not put them on Council website, or even here at AC ..? Perhaps I need to emphasise : what I am asking for is a *simple*, concise document ( I prefer as table format) as an *overview* of the development, rather than the Whole Thing

Thanks Steve - I need to say also, that I do NOT protest the removal of the bike lanes in PRd. But I am surprised that council has not issued a "before and after" comparison of "Bicycle provision on Pros rd "that would respond to H's "concerns" concisely, rather than a slanging match. i believe in what council wants to do as the Big Picture, but it's an act of faith so far, rather than a response to Councils' documents , which appear less than clear.

Hullo Steve... I have to say first that you need to get a reliable spell checker if you want to be taken seriously in your posts - which I have so far found to be difficult, given the (large) number of typos. I also think it's *counter-productive* to mention your use of a (motor) scooter in commenting on bicycle issues, as there is very LITTLE common experience between the two, and I doubt it gets you any credit with bicycle people, rather the opposite... I suggest also, that if you want to represent Prospect Council's , you could do so more professionally...see you soonest ...
