During the recent Australian Cycling Conference, one of the themes that came up in several presentations was that once the more vulnerable members of the community felt comfortable with cycling in shared space environments, that was a good indication that bicycle use had reached a high level of normalisation and safety.

Island Tour
Myself and Jeremy have a bit of a passion for getting on our bikes and going places, and one of the places on our list for quite a while has been Kangaroo Island. Just by virtue of being an island it is a romantic destination, and the challenge of the rough roads only added to its appeal. Pristine environment, isolated bays, wildlife and great local food and wine – how could we resist! So we set aside 3 days over the Australia Day weekend, and with a minimum of planning,… Continue

My son is Oscar and he's just started in the pre-kindy room. The Xtracycle is certainly eye catching. I kept meaning to catch you and after Pat started his group I thought I'd grap a picture.. being the morning I didn't have a lot of time to wait for you to come back.
Now Oscar is a little bigger I'm going to ride him to St Morris in a seat.. I'll have to try him out on the Xtracycle.
Thanks for joining and spreading the word around as well. I just got an email from the Sydney Cyclist site about their 2nd birthday. They have 1000+ members so I hope this group will get to that by Feb 2011.
