Welcome to AC - you'll find whatever cyclist-things your looking for here!
You mentioned you were interested in joining a club. Ive recenlty joined Port Adelaide Cycling Club (not realy based there tho from what ive noticed - i live in town) Its a very social and racy (...i mean racing :P ) club. Ive got into track racing and team time trials with them. check them out if you like http://www.pacc.org.au/about.php
WEl i might see you out and about on one of the AC (CVSA) rides or just on the road - have a good one :)
