Cycling with Pegasus, Shaved my Legs, Climbed a 17% hill this week

Posted on November 28, 2010 at 18:23 6 Comments

Sitting here a week ago, I would of not of thought I'd have such an

exciting week of cycling. Its a week that will stay in my mind for a

while.

Thursday I had the fortune through 602nds.com to participate in the

Pegasus Training camp at Noosa Springs. Participated in the training

ride with the cycling pros - Garmin stats here (click Metric top right).

Great coffee as well at Noosa Heads.…

Couldn't cycle much in Adelaide with all that rain... Now I'm sunburnt ;(

After a couple of days of travel, leaving some time also for my knee to heal, I finally got to the Gold Coast for a cycle with Derek last wednesday. A couple of stops the previous days at Coffs Harbor and Byron Bay were also enjoyable

At the gold coast, we had a great cycle out to springbrock. On the return trip we descended some 17% gradient descents. Upon returning to Broadbeach we headed along the esplanade, stopped at Robbie McEwan's cafe for a latte and admired the wildlife. It… Continue

Checkers Hill - my first attempt

Posted on August 7, 2010 at 17:00 10 Comments

I found Checkers Hill Rd, with the help of my trusty iPhone and its GPS. I headed along, admiring the scenery, thinking this isn't going to be that hard. However, I had a niggling suspicion that… Continue

A couple of weeks ago, I noticed that I'd worn out another rear tire. Its a habit I seem to have. Luckily I had a new tire ready and quickly replaced it. I thought I'd change the front as well (was looking rather cut up), as a few long rides were approaching, and it had been on since just after the 2010 Tour Down Under Challenge Ride.

I toke the front wheel off, was struggling a little and then it came free. I heard something bouncing on the floor. It was the front speed sensor. I'd… Continue

Hi Nick, good to see you yesterday, yeahh I do need a photo, better take one soon. Perhaps we can catch up for a ride one weekend (Sundays are generally race days but there are occasional Saturdays free when kids sport doesn't clash).
