First AC Female group ride and social at Glenelg

- I started riding as a way to get out of the car in October 2011 quickly decided that I loved it. Entered the Bupa challenge and dedicated the ride to my Dad who I lost to cancer. NOw Cycling is our family was of life and would not give it up!!

My 12 months as a cyclist

I knew the anniversary of me getting a bike was coming up and it turned out to be yesterday 17th September. I may only be 33, but it was still a long time since I owned a bike back in my teens, so it took some courage getting back on a bike after such a long time.
The reason behind me getting a bike was so I could get out of the car, take the kids to and from school and embrace the healthy outdoors lifestyle of living in Australia. So off I went to the LBS and said I will have one of…

Well the day came around for my usual Wednesday ride but today was different as I was allowed to ride my husbands Giant TCR Advanced 3!
For the last six months I have been riding my Mountain bike with road tyres, it has served me well on my weekly rides and got me round my first Bupa Challenge back in January and I do still love it.…
