SSRC Sunday special 1 at Cafe Rimini Hallet Cove

The first of four Sunday rides over the winter months to give new routes a ride. Matt, I am currently riding a flat bar road bike and I'm interested to know if the upgrade to a full road bike was worthwhile?  Did you go all the way with rides shoes/cleats etc?  I am enjoying my commute which is around 27km each direction which I try to do twice a week, but I struggle on longer group rides & seem to have to put in more effort to try and keep the pace.  Did the upgrade fix these sorts of issue for you?

Hi Matt!  Good to be in contact. Yes, Adam has mentioned that you're a crazy cyclist now!  I'm generally a commuter primarily and then Coral and I go out for rides on a weekend when we can.  Must say I'm enjoying it at the moment. Just trying to expand my kit to make the winter commutes more bearable!!  How do you go in the winter weather?
