Started riding back in 2009 when i couldnt run anymore due to an old Army knee injury. Got the bug from the TDU, loved it, havent looked back since! bought my first entry level road bike in May 2009 it was a Shogun 2008 Katana 105 groupset carbon/alloy. Still got it great bike to get started on with my height and weight. Have now only made the decision out of Felt AR5, OppyC6 and Giant TCR Adv1, have paid a deposit on the Giant came a clear winner for value for money and lifetime warranty on frame!!

Love cycling doing it mainly as an mental outlet and fitness, its funny as i never thought myself as a keen cyclist and wearing lycra!! (my friends cringe at the thought LOL). But its great to be back on the bike after a quiet spell last year due to injury, and learning every day about the cycling world by researching forums such as this one keep up the good work!

Stiil at the ametuer level of cycling, goals are to complete at least two challenges a year, working my way to that with lunch time rides at work and endurance type morning rides.

I attended this event on 16-May-2012. They would like a military cycling team to participate.

A SPECIAL HISTORY LESSON TO HONOUR THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DUNLOP MILITARY DISPATCH CYCLE RIDE

How long would it take a team of cyclists (riding the best that 1912 bike technology had to offer) to ride from Adelaide to Sydney via Melbourne in a non-stop relay?
Answer: 69 hours, 32 minutes - averaging 26.5 km/h.

On its 100th anniversary, a team of cyclists led by Omar Kalifa, ex-CEO of Bicycle NSW, are commemorating the Dunlop Military Dispatch Ride held in 1912 from Adelaide to Sydney via Melbourne by seeking to re-establish the event and also establish the route for those travelling by any means to re-trace and enjoy.

The event team will be coming to Adelaide to head off on a reconnaissance of the original route and to lay the ground work for a re-run of the ride late next year.

Retro woolen jerseys

There is an order form for the AC jerseys in the "Shop and Stuff" drop down menu. Look for the Caps and Kit link. Final price will depend on the number of orders placed.

So it was time i conquered this on the Beagle especially to test out the new decals Michael Moses made for me to help with motivation during thEse tough…
