A SPECIAL HISTORY LESSON TO HONOUR THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DUNLOP MILITARY DISPATCH CYCLE RIDE
How long would it take a team of cyclists (riding the best that 1912 bike technology had to offer) to ride from Adelaide to Sydney via Melbourne in a non-stop relay?
Answer: 69 hours, 32 minutes - averaging 26.5 km/h.
On its 100th anniversary, a team of cyclists led by Omar Kalifa, ex-CEO of Bicycle NSW, are commemorating the Dunlop Military Dispatch Ride held in 1912 from Adelaide to Sydney via Melbourne by seeking to re-establish the event and also establish the route for those travelling by any means to re-trace and enjoy.
The event team will be coming to Adelaide to head off on a reconnaissance of the original route and to lay the ground work for a re-run of the ride late next year.

Hi All yes back again
Well today got to climb Townsville's infamous Castle Hill, this hill was my enemy back in my army days as the army PTI's use to make us run up and down this hill at least once a fortnight.
