Dave M replied to Equal2lance2's discussion Has anyone noticed this sign?
"That's an interesting opinion on what happens to part-time bike lanes when they aren't bike lanes and there's no signage to say what they become instead. Do you have a reference from the ARRs or other SA Regulations to support…"

"The point is that it was previously just a bike lane sign, now it has had the time restrictions added to it."

Dave M replied to Equal2lance2's discussion Has anyone noticed this sign?
"I'm pretty sure that one has been discussed here before. Most people thought the time restriction sign was simply put up by mistake, probably a mixup when the bike lane times on Greenhill Road were changed.  Regardless of why it was put…"

Dave M replied to snappy_don's discussion South Rd tram bridge - any news??
"If the damage is found to be such that replacing the shared path bridge would require full replacement of the piers (and the tram bridge which sits on top) for just 3-4 years of service, yes. I agree that a contract for the removal of the old shared…"

Dave M replied to snappy_don's discussion South Rd tram bridge - any news??
"Yes, in a nutshell. Because the extent of the damage to the piers won't be known until the current shared path bridge is removed, it is currently not possible to know if it can be repaired at all, let alone the length of time required. That it…"

Dave M replied to snappy_don's discussion What's going on with Sturt Street?
"I can, because (a) cross-streets are often where people want to cross a major street, (b) it's a legal place to cross as it is more than 20 metres away from a signalled crossing, and (c) they'll cross there anyway so you might as well make…"

Dave M replied to Equal2lance2's discussion SIGN watch for through traffic

Dave M replied to Equal2lance2's discussion SIGN watch for through traffic

Hi Dave. Sorry, I did not notice your message until today. I'm not that techno savvy.

Thank you kindly for the offer but the tyres on my bike are 25 mm. Because I use it for recreation and commute, the cycle shop advised me to go a bit wider to deal with uneven road surfaces. Seems to work.

Thanks for your advice and input to the thread.
