"I'm a recent convert to full 2012 SRAM Red, the one with the Yaw front derailiuer. Coming from Shimano Ultegra 6700 it took about 5 seconds to get used to the double tap. I will never go back! Yes its noiser and has a more mechanical feel…"

My Strava says I rode near you today and I am guessing it was you near us riding up to Lofty where at the short sharp Clealand hill you said 'I don't know how you guys do it'? I slowed to talk to you but my friend caught up and we rolled off. I was going to say that actually until recently I also suffered badly on climbs, not improving but getting there. I would also say I have small lungs. I was going to say 'ride lots', even if it's on a trainer or find a group to ride with that'll push you a bit (there are quite a few on Adelaide Cyclists). I've concentrated on riding the trainer almost daily lately and riding weekends and one morning and even over 4 weeks the improvements have been significant.
Keep it up.. it's only spring so lots of time before summer proper.
