- HI all my name is Lincoln from Quigley motorsport. I am the South Australian rep for Stealth Electric bikes! I weigh 100Kgs, plus I have a LOT of stuff I carry on the bike PLUS tow a trailer (Either seat post "Tagalong" or Axle mount "BOB style" trailer.
I break wheels, axles, spokes frequently when commuting. I rarely break a bike touring... Slower speeds and less harsh impact on dirt.
How strong is the back axle?
I have bought some Maxis wheels for my MTB (approx $400 from LBS) and that seems to have solved wheel problems. Sealed bearing axle (not downhill size... just standard size).
