Carbon rims experience

Got a set of Lightweight rims. On the brakes all the way down Willunga yesterday - they got pretty warm. I have the right Dura-Ace brakes pads on.I've never had these sort or rims before. Can I stuff…Continue

"Carbon rims get very hot, hot enough to uncomfortably burn you, or melt a standard brake pad in only a few hundred metres.  I wouldn't ride carbon clinchers for that reason, the side of the tyre is heating up increasing the tyre pressure…"

"You sure carbon rim? Several friends run them and are wicked all rounders I believe but alloy rim with carbon cover from my bad memory. Bit like many Mavics cosmic carbone SL's, the carbon is just stuck on, it's just a joke really."
