Repainting bicycle

Mum's just moved to the city, and is hoping to ride her bike rather than drive her car. Her bike was banished to a damp shed for 15 years and isn't in very good nick, but she really likes it. It's ru…

You're having problems with this guy, I reckon: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trapezius_muscle My understanding is that it's a common problem for cyclists who ride mountain or road bikes. Try doing upright rows (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Upright_

For the decals you might try contacting a sign writer. I know when a decal was falling off my car my brother in law who was a sign writer at the time offered to replace it. I think with computers and vinyl cutting machines they can do a lot. As long…

My partner got clipped by a car (wing-mirror hit handlebars) and when she went to the police they turned her away saying that nothing bad came of it, so they couldn't do anything...right. :/

I recommend Cemntral Powdercoaters, Kent St, Richmond. They charge about $50 per frame I think. Any number of colours to choose from their 'coke can' display. They do all the preparation - you just need to remove everything down to the bare frame (i…

Oh. Sorry - getting my bikes and cycles confused. CargoBikes.com.au have released a new model, so I'm hoping they have sorted out the stability. I'll give one a test-ride first...will take it through some corners. :)

Not sure, I think that it was one of these http://www.cargobikes.com.au/ but honestly I am not sure so I will reserve any judgment! The two wheeler that I have comes with an 8 speed hub - this seems quite adequate!

Are you saying the cargocycles.com.au ones are unstable, or was it another brand? I'm a little concerned about the quality of manufacture, but I'm pretty handy with a welder should anything fail. The downside I see is that it is only a three-speed.…

Hi there I had a friend who got one of the cheaper three wheelers on the market, apparently the thing was very unstable going into corners (and hence VERY slow) - worthwhile considering. I also knew someone with a Christiana - and I regularly see o…

Aha! Saw one in town today, asked the owner whence it came and was told Cargo Cycles in Melbourne. $1165 for the top of the line model. Totally getting one. http://www.cargobike.com.au/ Thank Ben - the two-wheeler isn't what I want - need the stab…

Yes, what a price!! I just sprayed 2 coats of dulux on a bike (1 can) and just bought another can which might just cover it -- the cans are $13 each and it's really hard to do evenly and I have to wait for a still night when there is no wind and the…

That is exactly what I'm after - colour and all! I guess I could create some stick-on decals, have them cut out in plastic/thin vinyl and then give it a clear-coat or two... Thanks for the recommendation! (and what a price!)

Hi There I don't know about spray painters who do bicycles, but I recently got a bike powder coated by Central Powder Coaters (33 Kent Rd Keswick SA 5035 (08) 8351 1133) for my daughter - they came recommended to me by a friend who has had several…
