- Started riding Socially with Coast Cruzers in 2009, a V.Harb Social Cycling club that is sponsored by local businesses that shares coffee and cakes afterwards for a chat on Sundays.
I soon got the cycling bug, I started to train harder, get stronger, faster to keep up with those big guns of CC who do used/still race.
I became one of those big guns at CC so I decieded to start racing competive which I got from D to B garde within my first 7 month of racing, later finding out I was good enough to be elected for DCA, Deaf Cycling Australia where I raced International in Tour De Formosa Tournment completeing 905kms Road Races over 7stages where I grabbed a bronze on final stage, a 20km mountain climb with the Russians. I finished 7th Overall.
These Days I still train solo and race locally with NCC.
I cant image having a different life these days.

After a pre-check with my Bike, cranking the gear changes by hand, the computer whirred and came to life,
The Green light lit up meaning the battery if full, still.
Hopefully I will still have something left in my tank and legs for tom race, at least I will give it a shot...

If you have only just started at friday nights, I suggest that you do come and watch the racing next Wed night, come down to the pits and introduce yourself and get a feel for it. You will know some of the AC people - Bec, Kara, Me and Gemma to name a few - then there is Mark, Trappy, JEremy ...... the list goes on!!!
YOu can hang around and watch from the centre if you want to do a vollee job :D or the view is better from the stands - CLP may be there with his camera....
Keep up the Novice sessions, (for ths and next week at least till the track closes for repairs!!) and then by the summer series early Octyou'll be out there with us. FYI if you are licensed rider you can go to WEd night enuro or Thurs Sprint training. Which club are you anyway?
