Word is (via Angus K) that the cyclist suffered a heart attack. Regardless, I echo Joseph: sincere condolences to his/her family and 'significant others'... Sad indeed. Perhaps we can integrate a memorial ride into our Cancer Voices SA ride this Sun…

This ride is dedicated to Simon Whitely, the cyclist who died on Monday morning on Anzac Hwy. When we set out on a bike ride we all expect to reach our destination safely. Sadly, this wasn't the case on Monday. The aim is to pay our respects and to…

Terrible tragedy! It is amazing to me that it should inspire such vitriolic anti-cyclist sentiments on the Adelaide Now website. So many of the comments suggest it is unlawful or unsafe to ride 2 or 3 abreast. Of course Rule 151 of the Australian Ro…

The new dedicated bike crossing on West Tce is a great improvement. Like those who rode with Stephen (I wasn't one of them) I use it but not the bike lane.

I am really impressed with your pic of a bicycle built for three.
One would assume that you cycle rather than drive when possible.
Some car oriented people quickly dismiss the bicycle, saying that a car is essential for shopping or the family.
I am proud to say that in 2009 I drove my car only on 29 days.
Some Adelaide Cyclists would go one better and say that do not own a car.

Hi and welcome to Adelaide Cyclists.

We're a growing community of bike nuts (who also prefer the company of our bicycles in bed). You can post discussion on the main page wall, maintain your own blog, post pics and videos and create events to invite others to. Groups are a sort of niche interest area - join existing ones or start your own.

Please tell your friends to stop by and join as well.

Cheers
Angus
