"Hi Adam, I am a Campagnolo man (Record only the 10 speed) and it is still my favourite but I also like to try out things, well if you have some money to play around with sure have a go at the RED as a lot of riders seem to be happy with,…"
Is there a reason to go from DA to Red? I have little experience with either, and I am sure I could get used to double-tap shifting in time, but DA has felt a lot smoother than Red in my limited experience."
"Yes Peter I did have a very good ride, not like when I was young but.... I also had good company as well which a bonus, a great day all round, there were some others from Adelaide Cyclists, were you there?"
"Of course, we don't need Strava or anything else to enjoy our rides, you are right, but it was also nice to have recorded your rides, where you've been and speed etc...we'll carry on regardless...enjoy but take care..."
..perhaps some more information about yourself for your profile page
I was born in Alexandria, Egypt, my parents were Maltese (British Subjects, but of Italian decent) I loved cycling and used to race there and in 1953 won the championship of Alexandria, and also was part of the Egyptian Cycling Team in two International Tours of Egypt, 1953 and 1954, I still love cycling but not competetively any more.
Hello John, enjoyed your photos, particularly after hearing of some of your experiences in Egypt at the Wheaty Sunday evening - plus the Roy Orbison show at Jens Hotel in Mt Gambier. Hope to see you at other events, ride safe.
Hallo John, I do wish I had known that you were at the Christmas get together last night at the Wheatsheaf. I am really disappointed that I did not realise that it was you. Please come out on one of our rides. You will be made more than welcome.
