100 CAReFREE kms this morning.

Spent the morning riding `in` my new bike seat in complete safety by doing 100 kms on the veloway to Willunga and back plus detours on adjacent paths...wonderful but really ought to be able to be and feel as safe on daily road commutes... but that IS a stretch!

I think it is anyway cruising along in the bike lane just past KFC and out from underground car park flew a car just missing me, he had to stop at the lights about 30 mtres on and when I looked down at his number plate from the front so that he could see that I was making a mental note he got out of the car and yelled what do you think your gunna do ya f@#$%*N wanker!!//

Bruised Giant arives home somewhat invigorated...

...as am I!
Eagerly awaiting the arrival on Friday of its` older, leaner sibling.

This has been an excellent result to this unfortunate event and all rectified and complete in 1 day under a month... very good really!
A pleasant surprise, in more ways than one.

All good!?

The insurance company today agreed to replace the bike with a new one... subject to the policy holder meeting all their compliances whatever that means and whenever that happens.
Great news I think.

Car v Bike, not advised, you will come of second best.
Has made me very sensitive to how many "idiots" are allowed to drive cars.

Thanks Jim, yes getting better very day but it still hurts all over. I'm not in traction and my leg is still attached, so all is good. (At least I get to keep the scares)
Been payed out by the drivers insurance already and have ordered my new bike, a sweet 2010 Orbea Orca in gold, get it after Easter when I've got the green light to ride and drive again.
When I'm back in action be good to hook up for a ride.
Thanks once again.
Regards
Guy
