Jase C replied to Mark's discussion Where did my brake pads go?
"Wet weather will just destroy brake pads. As you've mentioned - grit gets caked on both rims and pads and erodes them but the sheer extra pressure required to stop in the wet compounds this."

Hmmmm, yes I understand that "regret" completely.  The first time I attempted Corkscrew I had to get off and walk half way up.  Second time...no stopping and felt invincible - that feeling is a great motivator!  Tap into one of your recent sucessful experiences to get you over the hump.

Hey Jas :-)

Hope you pulled up ok after Sunday, what a cool day.  I'm not sore at all, but I was tired when I got home.

the weather looks bad so I'll probably be on the old MTB
On 9-Oct how do you know the weather forecast for 31-Oct? Did you leave out the word IF in your sentence, or a confusion with the date?

Do you cycle to work? If not, check out the timetables for free trams and buses within the City. There is also an ACC free bus although if you miss the bus, a long wait for the next. I do not know the ACC bus route.
