your site worked fine as a direct connection from internode.on.net and also when i retried it through the proxy a couple of hours after posting the "no luck" reply above."

Welcome to Adelaide Cyclists. You might be interested in joining AC group Commuters and, if you cycle in the city, Adelaide BUG. I coordinate four AC groups with emphasis on improving cycling conditions: Adelaide BUG, Prospect BUG, Look For Cyclists and Vote For Cyclists. There is more info in the introduction on each group web page.
