A sad day

A sad day for all of us cyclists. A drug affected driver, in Italy, has plowed into a Sunday morning Group ride and his vehicle has killed 7 of the cyclists and seriously injured 4. A sad day.

Hi Derek, Glad you are basically OK. How long do you expect before the ribs heal and you can do long rides again? Until I got extra bright lights, would remember that an 'invisible' truck was usually parked at night on my bikedirect route. I broke my shoulder on 16-Oct-2011 and off the bike until February when I started short rides. Forgot one can be saddle sore! Did a longer ride on Sunday with the AC birthday, then the long way home for another coffee with another cyclist. Cheers, Heather

As far as coming out on one of your rides Derek, I would only slow you down, alas age has caught up with me, as much as I would love to ride with you guys, I know ride for my enjoyment and not pain and gain, I am riding tomorrow( Tuesday )but going via Glenelg to West Beach or beyond maybe, it is going to be a warm day, love it......we might see each other on the road, I normally wear a GIANT Jersey.
