Last Friday night after work, as the weather was particularly pleasant and my mood wasn't conducive to being at home, I decided it would be a good idea to go for a nice, casual bike ride. Rather than my usual sprint down to the beach or up Waterfall Gully, I decided to take a ride down memory lane.
My first real foray into regularly riding a bike came about 12 years ago. Yes, I did a bit of spinning around the BMX track as a youngster; and during high school I would jump on my…Continue
For the past 10 or so years, I have been riding a road bike. Initially it started out as smallish rides of 20-30km, then hills were introduced. You will need these ingredients:
125g of butter
3/4 cup caster sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla essence (the real stuff, not the imitation junk)
2 mashed bananas (preferably over-ripe. The blacker the better)
