Daniel Searson replied to Jarrad B's discussion Saw a motorbike+bike drafting on the Stuart O'Grady Bikeway
"You've got to add the mass of the rider in too, so its not quite as extreme as you make out (Rider + bicycle = 90 kg, Rider + scooter = 180-280kg). But yes, scooter on a bike path is a bit sketchy. "

Daniel Searson replied to Paul.R's discussion Selle SMP Saddles
"I have the Forma and I think its fantastic. It has zero padding but it provides support in all the right places, and no pressure in the wrong places. I think (going back a few years) Trak Cycle had a Forma that you could try-before-you-buy."

Daniel Searson replied to rossmg's discussion Bad Bike Science
"It doesn't work like that unfortunately. The distance between the centre of the BB and the centre of the pedal is all that matters in terms of gearing and torque (regardless of the shape of the crank)."

Daniel Searson replied to Dstone's discussion Lance Armstrong accepts lifetime ban.
"Its because the charges are not just for using performance enhancing drugs, but for trafficking them and conspiring to get others to use them."

Daniel Searson replied to Andrew's discussion Sufferfest - Any Users?
"Yep, they are great. I've got Fight Club (good race simulation with the attacks and recovering-at-pace), and Local Hero (more of a longer slightly less intense workout). I've also got an old version of Revolver, which is short but just…"
