Clive Palfrey said… Hi Cory. Prior to this bike I have only had flat bars so in comparison I am delighted. The frame is made in Taiwan in the same factory I understand as many other branded frames. It does have a life long warranty though I presume this doesn't cover crashes. I ride regularly with one other guy who rides the same bike and has been riding road bikes for many years and he loves it. I was fortunate that I got mine in a clearence sale for $1700, Gary at Star Cycles may have 1 left at this price as he had a couple on laybys and the buyers changed their mind. The only changes I made was to have differant wheels, as I weigh 100kg+ I wanted wheels with more spokes. I also had the cranks changed to compacts. Gary didn't charge anything extra for the change over. I believe the current price with Ultegra is about $2000 or $2,550 with DI-2. I doubt if you could get full carbon bikes at this price short of getting a CEll special on line and I've heard a few bad things about them.
